Colleagues will be participating in our annual North East Coast Sponsored Walk on Saturday 21st September in aid of the Newcastle Building Society Community Fund at the Community Foundation.
Teams across the Group are taking part in the sponsored event, walking over 9 miles, from Blyth to Tynemouth, in aid of the fund that makes grants available to charities and groups, right here in our region. Since its launch in 2016, the fund has awarded over £416,707 in grants to 184 community projects.
Last year the annual event raised a whopping £4.1k. This year the event is looking to be bigger and better than ever with over 65 colleagues taking part, all hoping to do their bit to raise money for the community fund, with the beautiful backdrop of the north east coastline to keep them going.
