Business Clinic partnership in its second year

Newcastle Strategic Solutions, has partnered with Northumbria University’s Business Clinic scheme, which enables students to replace their dissertations with collaborative real life projects for regional businesses.

Will Renwick, Sasha Thompson, Erin Clarke and Andrew Eglinton will join the business to identify how savings providers can remain competitive in a digital market whilst continuing to meet the needs of their existing savers.

Available to both undergraduate final year and Masters students, supported by a team of experts from Newcastle Business School; The Business Clinic is an educational scheme whereby a group of business students participate in a 'consultancy role' to provide advice for clients in place of their final year dissertation.

Phil Grand, managing director of Newcastle Strategic Solutions, said: “We gained some really valuable information from partnering with the Business Clinic scheme last year, learning about how saving habits of the younger generation affect the types of accounts they use. This year, the four new students will help us discover what emerging digital technologies are key to the future success of savings providers.”

Nigel Coates, Director of The Business Clinic, adds: “We’re looking forward to working with Newcastle Strategic Solutions for a second year as we’ve received excellent feedback from our students, and we’re looking forward to assisting even more businesses in the years to come.”

Newcastle Strategic Solutions manages savings accounts on behalf of some of the UK’s leading retail savings providers. It is a developer of technology for the management of online savings. It continues to invest in its platform to help its partners succeed in a digitalised future and ensure that customers can securely manage their savings online.
